VMware VDI is available in three configuration options:
- The VMware VDI Starter Kit includes VMware Infrastructure 3 Enterprise Edition for VDI, VMware VirtualCenter Foundation, and VMware Virtual Desktop Manager (VDM) for 10 concurrent desktop virtual machines.
- Customers ready to deploy VMware VDI can purchase the VMware VDI Bundle, which includes licenses for 100 users, with the ability to scale up using add-on packs to support additional desktop virtual machines. The VMware VDI Bundle also enables customers to run desktop environments using the same proven VMware Infrastructure 3 software they use to virtualize their servers.
- VMware Virtual Desktop Manager may also be purchased à la carte by organizations that have existing capacity on their VMware Infrastructure 3 servers.
